Enhancement of Employment

This Scheme aims at counteracting the effects of the international economic crisis on employment by enhancing the ability of enterprises to retain and employ personnel through the improvement of their competitive advantage and competitive ability.

The Scheme, which is co-funded by the European Social Fund and has a budget of €8 million, provides subsidies to enterprises for the development and implementation of a specific business plan that will lead to the improvement of their competitive advantage and competitive ability, and through this improvement to the quantitative and/or qualitative enhancement of employment within the specific enterprise. Subsidies are given to businesses whose proposals are approved through a comparative assessment procedure and refer to specific eligible expenses.

Eligible costs:

The eligible costs which will be subsidized by the scheme relate wholly and exclusively to the expenses incurred for the preparation and implementation of the business plan, and in the following categories:

1. Cost of consultants for the processing and preparation of the business plan

2. Cost of consultants and/ or employees for the implementation of the business plan

3. Training of staff for the implementation of the business plan

4. Cost of purchase of new software for the implementation of the business plan (i.e. Time management system, performance management system etc)

5. Cost of employment of new staff for the implementation of the business plan
