The scope of these programmes is the creation of conditions for planned and systematic training and development of human resources, at all levels and in all sectors, to meet the needs of the economy within the framework of social and economic policy of the State. Every Cypriot employer is eligible for funding schemes as announced by Cyprus Governmenr through HRDA.

Programmes for employment of new staff – new university graduates

Scope

Each employer can recruit a new employee that is a new niversity/college graduate. The salary costs relating to the new recruitment will be funded for an initial period of six months.

Funding – The HRDA provides subsidy for the costs incurred for the new employment. The maximum amount given is Euro 1600 per month of employment.

Programmes for employment of new staff

Each employer can recruit new staff, previously unemployed. The salary costs relating to the new recruitment will be funded for an initial period of three months.

Programmes for initial training abroad

Scope

Training of executives of firms to new concepts and methods as well as address in specialised topics aimed at technology transfer and know-how in Cyprus by implementing training programs abroad.

Programmes for initial training in Cyprus

Scope

Design, organization and implementation of training programmes by the enterprises themselves to cover their own needs, initial training of newly recruited staff. Basic Provisions covers the needs of enterprises for initial training of newly recruited personnel to acquire basic knowledge and skills required for efficient handling of his work. The programmes can be implemented by educators who are employees of the undertaking or by other trainers, from Cyprus or abroad. (Request for obtaining relevant authorisation.) The application must be received by the HRDA at least three (3) calendar weeks prior to the start of the programme.
